1.1 This Returns Policy regulates the conditions and circumstances in which Dermalogica Products (“Products”) purchased by consumers (“You/Your”) on-line from www.dermalogica.co.za or in a Dermalogica retail store (“Store”) will be accepted by The Dermal Institute of South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“Dermalogica”) for return and refund.
1.2. You are not entitled to any refund, repair or replacement save to the extent that it is expressly provided for in terms of this Returns Policy.
1.3. Please note that You may not return a:
1.3.1. Product bought on-line, in a Store;
1.3.2. gift voucher in exchange for the cash value of the gift voucher and You may only use a gift voucher to purchase Products in a Store and no amounts standing to the credit of Your on-line account, will be paid out in cash;
1.3.3. Product bought from a stockist of the Products, to a Store.
2.1. If You are unsatisfied with Your purchase after receiving the Product, You may return it to Dermalogica within 14 days from date of purchase in the case of a Store purchase or date of delivery, in the case of an on-line purchase, without reason or penalty, in order to obtain a refund of the full purchase price, provided that:
2.1.1. subject to clause 2.2, the Products are in their original purchased condition and packaging without the seal (where applicable) having been broken in any way;
2.1.2. the original till slip in the case of a Store purchase accompanies the return and the Dermalogica on-line order number is provided, in respect of the return of an on-line purchase; failing which no refund will be given.
2.2. Products which cause a sensitive or allergic reaction may be returned, provided that You:
2.2.1. prior to purchasing the applicable Product, had a consultation with a Dermalogica consultant and fully disclosed all applicable medical and sensitivity issues to the consultant;
2.2.2. provide Dermalogica with a written explanation and photographs of the sensitive or allergic reaction.
2.3. You may not return complimentary Products, gifts and/or samples, unless expressly agreed to by the Dermalogica customer care department. Any returns agreed to by the Dermalogica customer care department in terms of this clause 2.3 will be subject to a R200.00 handling fee.
3.1. You can return defective or damaged Products for a replacement or refund, within 6 months of the date of purchase in the case of a Store purchase or date of delivery for on-line purchases, provided that You provide Your proof of purchase.
3.2. Products will not be regarded as damaged or defective where You caused the damage or the fault in the Products results from normal wear and tear, negligence or damage arising from misuse and/or improper or inadequate care of the Products and/or where the items have been altered and/or dealt with or used contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions.
3.3. Once Your return has been approved by Dermalogica, the Dermalogica couriers will collect the defective Products from You, the costs of which will be borne by Dermalogica.
4.1. Where applicable, Dermalogica will refund You the purchase price, which You paid for the returned Products, as follows:
4.1.1. cash and debit purchases will, at Your election, be refunded to You by means of electronic funds transfer into Your bank account or by means of a Dermalogica gift voucher;
4.1.2. purchases made on credit will be refunded to Your account held with the applicable credit provider;
4.1.3. credit card purchases will be refunded to the credit card used to make the initial purchase; and
4.1.4. gift voucher purchases will be refunded to You by means of a Dermalogica gift voucher.
4.2. Original invoiced delivery charges will not be refunded by Dermalogica to You.
5.1. If you purchased the Product, which you want to return in terms of these terms and conditions:
5.1.1. in a Store – please take the returned Product together with your proof of purchase to any Store;
